Are you planning a holiday abroad this year?
Travelling with young children can be stressful – especially if you experience delays. Here are our Daisy First Aid top tips for travelling with kids!
1 – Allow extra time for almost everything
Things take longer with little people in tow!
2 – Prepare for delays
Take spare clothes, food and nappies in your hand luggage in case you experience delays or your luggage gets lost the other end.
3 – Medication
Pack any medication in your hand luggage – use Calpol sachets rather than the glass bottle.
4 – Use a carrier
Take a baby carrier so you have your hands free and somewhere to put baby if you check your buggy.
5 – ID bands for mobile kids
Get ID bands for your children – airports are busy places. Useful for busy beaches too!
6 – Pre-order your formula
Order formula from the pharmacy at the airport so you don’t have to take it with you through security.
7 – Sticker books are your friend!
We recommend the reusable, easy peel stickers just in case they end up anywhere other than the book!
8 – Take all the snacks!
Take snacks, snacks and more snacks!
9 – Prepare for take off and landing
Feed baby during take of and landing to help with the pressure in their ears. Don’t worry if your baby cries during take off or landing as that’ll help with their ears too.
10 – Let the cabin crew help you
If you’re travelling alone with little ones cabin crew will be happy to watch them whilst you pop to the loo.
11 – Keep the welcome text message
When you land, don’t delete the welcome text as it will have the local emergency number in it.
12 – Know your address
Make a note of the address of where you’re staying in case of an emergency.
13 – Know where the hospital is
Find out where your nearest hospital is.
14 – Pack your Daisy First Aid kit!
Don’t forget to pack your Daisy First Aid kit for those inevitable Oopsy Daisy moments! Get yours here.
Travelling with little ones can be stressful but once the travel time is over you’ll make amazing memories to cherish forever.
