Daisy First Aid are approved providers of paediatric first aid training. This paediatric first aid course meets the requirements of the Early Years foundation stage statutory framework. The course focuses on emergency scenarios that are faced by professionals, including teachers, au pairs and playgroup leaders, looking after young children.
The Platinum+ 12 hour course meets Ofsted requirements for registered childminders and the requirements for nannies under the Approved Carers Scheme. It can also be used as evidence for employees working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education. The trainers that provide these courses are fully qualified in both experience, first aid and training.

This course is for people working with babies and children or working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.

These courses cover how to deal with accidents and emergencies involving babies, young children as well as adults.

6 hours can be completed online with the remaining 6 hours in the classroom.
This course covers how to help a baby or child who:
- is unresponsive and breathing
- is unresponsive and not breathing, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- is choking
- is bleeding
- is suffering from shock
- is burnt or has a scald
- is having a seizure.
- has an object in their eye, ear or nose
- has hypothermia or heat exhaustion
- has a medical emergency, including:
- meningitis
- diabetic emergency
- seizures
- asthma attack
- severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock)
- has an injury to a bone muscle or joint including spinal injuries
- has a head injury
- has swallowed something harmful.The course also includes basic adult first aid skills, details on accident reporting and administering medication for those working in a childcare setting.

6 Hour classroom based
This course covers how to help a baby or child who:

Course duration
6 hour (1 Day classroom)
12 hours (2 Days classroom or 1 day classroom with online blended option)
Assessment and certification
Continuous assessment by trainer.
Upon successful completion of the course you will receive your Daisy First Aid Platinum Certificate valid for 3 years
