Hello, I’m Nicola, I’m the local Daisy First Trainer for Huntingdon and surrounding areas. Here are are 4 things about me…
Why I became a Daisy First Aid Trainer & my background…
I’ve been a paediatric nurse for several years, mainly working in A&E and I also have 3 young boys. I have always enjoyed the working in A&E but it felt like the natural time to stop working there and to have a new challenge in life!
I have always really enjoyed chatting to and educating parents on first aid matters whilst in A&E so it felt like a easy transition.
What I love about teaching…
Seeing it all make sense to someone.
Like i’ve already said one of my favourinte things about working in A&E was the teaching and chatting to parents about all things first aid, answering all their questions and helping to alleviate their concerns and worries.
I like to keep my classes light hearted and relaxed so that people can feel like they can ask me any question.
There are no silly questions!
My proudest moment…
There are probably so many to choose from in all honesty! But off the top of my head, this week I caught my 3 boys snuggled into bed together before the “sun came up” reading stories to each other. Anyone who knows me well will know why this was a proper proud mum moment for me.
Something fun/interesting/ or important about me….
I love holidays and I love camping. Put me outside and I am at my happiest!
What I offer & where…

- 1-hour ‘baby essentials’ first aid course
- 2-hour paeditric first aid course
