“The most important course you’ll take. Liane is a brilliant teacher, she made my children and I feel instantly comfortable and engaged, and we were able to apply all that we learnt practically with baby and adult mannequins. I would wholeheartedly recommend Liane, a former nurse, who covers many vital areas from CPR to burns, choking and more. Thank you so much Liane, we all feel incredibly informed thanks to you. It’s hugely reassuring to know what to do if my own family members or anyone were to be unwell/or their lives were in danger and my 9 year old feels equally empowered to help others too. Thank you Vicki x
“Very helpful & informative session with Emma at home. All parents it’s crucial to know what to do in an emergency Emma was friendly, helpful & knew her stuff! Thanks for everything today.”
“Absolutely loved this class today! Thought it was informative, clear, hands on & easy to remember. Would definitely recommend
this to my friends. Thanks so much. Zoe xx.”
Update* I saved my daughters life a week after attending my daisy first aid class. See full story here
We were privileged to run a Daisy First Aid class for Ronan and Storm Keating shortly after the birth of their son Cooper.
The very lovely Christine wanted to be prepared before her baby was born. Caroline attended and even stayed for a cuppa and a natter afterwards. Our classes are suitable for expectant parents too.
We had the pleasure of teaching this lovely couple, the amazing Andy Day… from Andys Dinosaur Adventures and his lovely partner as they prepared for the arrival of their daughter.
What a fab morning at Absolute Radio HQ teaching baby and child first aid to the Dave Berry & the Breakfast Team along with Ben Burrell…..Oh the fun we had!
With the help of my other trainer Jayne, they learnt to high five & roll into the recovery position, never to hum to ‘another one bites the dust’ when doing CPR, never to talk about Mr Burns and most importantly the other one! but they certainly know how to get one of Dave’s carrots out after a choking situation. They also soon realised that Benni ‘no clicks’ might need a bit more practice at CPR and that they can’t hurt anyone with an AED unless they whack them round the head with it!
Was an absolute pleasure teaching you guys today, thanks for the invite!
Sam Faiers chose Daisy First Aid when baby Paul was born. The felt it really important to feel confident in a medical emergency.
Aston Merrygold enjoyed one of our Daisy First Aid classes at home.
We visited Helen Flanagan for one of our Daisy First Aid classes shortly after the birth of her daughter Matilda.
“Fantastic course, would recommend this to all parents and carers. Nina explained everything thoroughly. Amazing day. I now fee more confident when having a baby. “
“Brilliant session, very informative, easy to follow. I have done first aid courses before and have learnt much more this time. I will be recommending the teacher and the course.”
“Today has been amazing. So much to take in but very important & life saving information. Thank you so much for your time. I massively appreciate it and feel a new found confidence. ”
“So easy to follow & understand. Felt comfortable asking questions & felt very involved. Clear information and layout so helpful. So pleased to take part as such simple instructions that I would not know. So friendly that it gave me confidence. Thank you.”
“Last week Aysha from Daisy First Aid kindly came to our house & gave us all a first aid training session. I had done one a few years ago, so it was a much needed refresher, but for Dean & some of the others it was their first training session. Aysha was brilliant, really informative and made us all really relaxed as we learnt. We all feel much more able to deal with any situations that could arise now. It’s such a shame it isn’t brought to parents to be attention before they bring little ones into the world that we all ought to be equipped with the skills to deal with deal with the situations each parent hopes and prays they are never in.
In the past month Noah has been diagnosed with blue breath holding spells, (for those like me had never heard of it, he involuntarily holds his breath , stops breathing and loses consciousness, but brings himself round after a short period of time) only unlike the normal diagnosis his are set off by coughing rather than crying . The consultant (after being rushed into hospital by our gp as 111, and out of hours weren’t concerned) we saw had never heard of it, nor had her colleagues. On one of his first spells when he was unconscious and not breathing I called for an ambulance, and was placed in a queue without even getting as far as explaining why I needed an ambulance, and I terminated the call when he came round. It has really shaken me that the safety blanket of calling 999 for an ambulance in an absolute emergency (I had never done so before) wasn’t there when I needed it. I also wasn’t called back to check if I still needed an ambulance?
We already had the first aid course planned, but I can’t stress enough…. if your child was in an emergency situation, and you are the only help they have….. would you feel able to give them the help they need?”
“Did an amazing Daisy First Aid parent class today, only took 2 hours of my time. I learnt so much from how to put a baby in th e recovery position, how to deal with fevers, head injuries, meningitis as well as baby resuscitation & CPR and choking. EVERY parent needs to do one!! www.daisyfirstaid.com thankyou so much @jennie.daisyfirstaid”
Our Kensington trainers had the pleasure of training the lovely pregnant Kara Tointon so she was fully prepared for the arrival of her first baby.
“My family & I completed a paediatric first aid course last week in preparation for the baby coming! Cannot recommend @daisyfirstaid @menishadaisyfirstaid enough! Such a professional course yet fun, extremely informative & I feel confident now if any situation were to arise with Dixie or the baby. Thank you Daisy First Aid! Should be a must for all parents!!”
“I did a brilliant first aid course this week with the help of these two and @daisyfirstaidpr. Been meaning to do it for ages! #daisyfirstaid”
“Really useful & informative #firstaidcourse with @daisyfirstaid today. Thanks Nina for passing on your knowledge.”
“On Sunday, the wonderfully warm and well informed former policewoman Cathy of Daisy First Aid York (they are national so you can check their website for your nearest one) came to take us through the two hour course. A relaxed session in the lounge, with the kids popping back and forth and volunteering in some instances too, Peter and I were able to practice exactly what to do under Cathy’s guidance and support, in the case of an accident or emergency. Topics spanned placing people in the recovery position to what to do if a baby, child or adult chokes to looking out for illnesses, dealing with head injuries and much more…”
“Learning first aid might seem like too much effort to some, or that ‘it won’t happen to me’ attitude might kick in. Who really wants to give up a couple of hours that could save a life when the TV needs to be watched and Facebook needs checking – I mean, priorities right?! But if you do want to learn some first aid, I couldn’t recommend Daisy First Aid highly enough…”
“Great pace – the 2hrs flew by! Lesson was easy to follow and engaging. Stacey was patient, knowledgeable, warm & offered gentle encouragement throughout.
We feel more confident about how we’d handle a situation. We’ll recommend to all. Thank you!”
The session flew by, was fun and extremely good value for the amount you learn in a short time.
At £25 per person it’s a steal. You can’t really put a price on this sort of knowledge as you know it could be life changing what you are able to do with it
I now feel 100 times more confident if situations were to occur, and it’s enabled me to stop blooming worrying so much (my family and friends will know that I worry A LOT).
A big thank you to the WRPA for organising Daisy First Aid for all the dads, should a situation arise where they need to help their little ones.
LIFE SAVERS! We just spent an evening with the brilliant Carolyn from Daisy First Aid Greenwich, and now we are basically qualified doctors. We covered loads of fun topics like CPR, choking, sepsis and head injuries, and Helen managed to hit herself in the face with her own resuss dummy
While First Aid isn’t compulsory for new and expectant parents on the NHS, i’d like to point you in the direction of a fantastic company I got in touch with, called Daisy First Aid, (also in the film) who specialise in the teaching of paediatric first aid all over the UK
After my daughter decided to choke on a princess Poppy felt craft piece, we invested in a first aid course with Daisy First Aid. See Instagram story called Choke for full video.
James and Kate booked onto a Daisy First Aid class after the birth of their beautiful baby and of course we were happy to have Kate breast feed whilst we ran the course. Breastfeeding Uncoverd
Claire was great, she really knew what she was talking about, and was able to bring a personal touch to the class by using examples from her own life, as she had a young daughter too!

In a session that whizzed by, we covered pretty much everything I could want to know should my children (or anyone I’m with) ever need first aid.

When it came to baby first aid, I was totally clueless and it scared the crap out of me, so I found the course very useful. I now have the confidence to deal with an emergency, whether it be choking, recovery position for both a toddler and baby and also CPR for both (I pray I’ll never have to use it).

The lovely Jennifer Metcalfe and her family took a Daisy First Aid so they had the knowledge and confidence to deal with any family first aid emergencies. We have lots of grandparents attending our classes.
There is a lot you are taught in class, but it’s taught in a really relaxed and friendly manner so that you don’t feel overwhelmed with information. There is also plenty of time for you to have a go of any of the demonstrations that were shown. Nicola was absolutely wonderful.
